Nose Hill Loop

Nose Hill Park is a large natural area with many multi-use trails open from 5 am to 11 pm. The loop trail is 6 miles long and begins at Edgemont Boulevard. The course is a mix of paved and gravel. Additionally, there are some hills to provide variation and great views. The trail goes around the middle of the park, where most is an off-leash area. Also, the trail is a relatively easy trek.

Sue Higgins Park

Sue Higgins Park features a 2.7-mile loop. It is also considered an easy route that you can take any time from 5 am to 11 pm. Additionally, it is home to the largest fenced off-leash area in Calgary. The park is adjacent to the Bow River and has many opportunities for your pup to take a dip! Sue Higgins Park also has picnic tables, hiking trails, and washrooms. Plus, many find this park exceptional because of the friendly people and dogs as well as the cleanliness and endless places to explore!

River Park

River Park has excellent trails for hiking, biking, and running that you can complete from 5 am to 11 pm. Also, the park has a variety of routes with different terrains for all types of experience levels. Additionally, there is a large off-leash area for you and your pup to enjoy! Best of all, the park is near Sandy Beach near the Elbow River, with playgrounds and picnic areas.

12 Mile Coulee

This park is located in the northwest part of the city and operates from 5 am to 11 pm. It features hiking trails, pathways, park benches, and two off-leash areas that dog parents love! Plus, park-goers report that they love taking their pups there, and their pups love being there too! It is a great place to relax and play with your four-legged friend.
