Proactive Puppy Program
- Build the dog you want to live with—starting from day one.
Puppy Ascension is a proactive puppy-to-adult training path for owners who want more than a few basic commands. It gives you a clear system for building engagement, communication, structure, and everyday habits as your puppy grows.
Your puppy is learning every day. The question is whether those lessons are happening by accident—or with a plan.
A structured training path built around your puppy, your household, and every stage ahead.
Start training before bad habits start taking over.

Puppies start learning the moment they come home.
Every interaction teaches them what gets rewarded, what they can get away with, and how to respond to everyday life. Pulling, jumping, ignoring cues, struggling to settle, and pushing boundaries can become practised habits if they aren’t addressed early.
Puppy Ascension gives you a clear plan before those patterns become harder to change.
Built around the ACA CLARITY™ System, this developmental training path grows with your dog from puppyhood into adulthood. Early training focuses on engagement, motivation, communication, routines, and a strong learning foundation.
As your dog matures, expectations and distractions increase. You’ll learn how to communicate clearly, follow through consistently, and adjust your role as your puppy develops.
Because raising a well-trained adult dog starts with what you teach today.
From Puppy Foundation to Adult Reliability
Puppies change quickly. The training that makes sense for a young puppy isn’t always the same training they’ll need as a mature dog.
Puppy Ascension follows that development instead of forcing every stage into the same approach.
Stage One: Puppy Foundation
The puppy stage is about creating a dog that wants to learn.
We use food drive and marker training to build motivation, attention, engagement, and a clear communication system between you and your puppy.
Instead of overwhelming a young dog with unnecessary pressure, we start by teaching them how training works. They learn how to engage with the handler, how to understand markers and feedback, and how to move through everyday routines with clearer expectations.
- Engagement and attention around the owner
- Clear marker communication
- Useful household routines
- Handling foundations
- Appropriate confidence-building and exposure
- Structure and consistent follow-through
- A stronger foundation for future training
The goal isn’t to rush your puppy. It’s to give them the tools they’ll need for the next stage.

Stage Two: Adult Integration
As your puppy matures, their world gets bigger.
There are more distractions. More independence. More opportunities to make their own choices.
At this stage, the program begins moving into Arsenal’s balanced training approach. We continue building communication while adding appropriate accountability, clearer expectations, and practical structure based on your dog’s development and training plan.
Adult integration builds toward:
- Clearer communication around distractions
- Consistent household rules
- Appropriate accountability
- Practical behaviour at home and in public
- Better owner handling and decision-making
- Real-world practice
- A maintenance plan that can change as your dog matures
The goal is not a dog that only knows what to do during a training session. The goal is to keep building skills that make sense in the life you actually live together.
Your role : Grow with your dog.
Your puppy isn’t the only one learning.
You’ll receive clear coaching and practice direction throughout the program so you understand what to reinforce, what needs to change, and how to stay consistent as your dog develops.
The exact training path will depend on your dog’s age, development, history, household, and approved training plan.
Training works best when the dog and owner grow together.

The CLARITY™ System Gives Your Puppy a System to Grow Into
Good puppy training is about more than teaching “sit.”
Your dog needs a communication system that can continue making sense when they’re bigger, stronger, more independent, and surrounded by more distractions.
That’s where the CLARITY™ System comes in.
| CLARITY™ Principle | What It Means for Your Puppy |
| C – Communication | Clear verbal & non-verbal cues. |
| L – Leash Awareness | Connection & guidance without tension. |
| A – Accountability | Consistent consequences & expectations. |
| R – Reinforcement | Reward-based positive feedback. |
| I – Integration | Building trust & socialization in various settings. |
| T – Threshold Management | Understanding & managing emotional states. |
| Y – You (Owner Empowerment) | Transferring skills & confidence. |

Is your dog already an adult?
Start with an honest assessment.
Every puppy is different. Your puppy’s age, development, temperament, routines, and goals all help determine the right training path.
Your assessment gives us a chance to understand your needs, discuss owner involvement and safety considerations, and decide whether Puppy Ascension is the right fit.
If another training path makes more sense, we’ll let you know.
Your assessment helps Arsenal determine program fit, safety considerations, owner involvement, and the training path that makes sense for your dog.
Puppy Ascension FAQs
Puppy Ascension is designed as a puppy-to-adult development path. The assessment helps determine whether your dog’s age, current needs, and training history make this the appropriate starting point.
In the puppy stage, Arsenal uses food drive and marker training to build motivation, engagement, and a clear learning language. As the dog enters the adult stage, the program moves into a balanced training approach with clear communication, appropriate accountability, real-life structure, and continued owner coaching.
Yes. Owner participation is essential. You will receive clear homework and practice direction so the work can transfer into your normal routines.
No. Dogs develop in different ways and outcomes depend on development, health, environment, genetics, owner participation, and consistent follow-through. The program provides a structured, proactive path; it does not promise a specific future behavioural outcome.
Give Your Puppy a Better Starting Point
Don’t wait until small habits become bigger problems before deciding what training should look like. We’ll assess your puppy, your household, your goals, and the level of owner involvement needed to determine whether Puppy Ascension is the right path.
